ESSCA Exchange

About the Program

With a more than 100 year history, ESSCA, and its network of schools in France and Hungary,  is among the top 20 Business schools in France.  Core courses in Business are offered at each campus, with electives that vary and often include courses on local culture and language.  The largest campus is in Angers, a UNESCO World Heritage Site southwest of Paris, while the Paris and Budapest campuses offer students a big city life style.

Angers

ESSCA offers a business-oriented curriculum with many courses taught in English and focusing on international business, particularly the business environment in the European Union.  For a truly multicultural, international experience, ESSCA is a great choice!

Visit the Angers Campus, the Paris Campus,  or the Budapest Campus,  (virtually).

Areas of Study

Most Business majors and minors will find coursework that will apply towards their degree at UD.  To learn more about courses offered at each location, visit this link and select the correct site and semester.

The Angers Campus is in a city of art and history and is listed as the 16th largest city in France with 260,000 inhabitants. Located in the heart of the Loire region, 1 1/2 hours from Paris and 4 hours from Lille and Lyon by direct train.

Additional Information and things to consider

  •  If you do not yet have a passport, or if it is/or is about to expire, it is advised that you process a new one as soon as possible.  This is documentation that is needed for the final stages of your application as well as for your visa.
  • French Visas are obtained through an extensive process and should be started as soon as you are committed to going- despite where you are in the UD application process.

  • Please visit CAMPUS FRANCE to start researching the steps needed to obtain your visa and start your application.  You will have to be approved through this website before attending your visa interview.  (Please note that they will randomly ask for different types of documentation including hard copies of the application, photographs, transcripts from high schools and colleges attended)

  • You will need to apply for a long-term visa.

  • You will have to travel to the French consulate IN PERSON to obtain your visa.  The location of your consulate is determined by your home state.  For example:  Ohio residents must travel to Chicago.  For complete listings of consulates please visit their website.
