Hawaii, overall was an amazing and once in a lifetime experience. The culture, the environment, the friends I made, are all incredible parts of my experience. Packing up your belongings into two suitcases and moving 4,000 miles away isn't always an easy process. I took out of this experience, that it is so important to get out of your comfort zone and travel this beautiful world. Hawaii almost felt like another place. Besides the city life, when you met real locals or "natives" to the island and explored, it's a life-changing experience. It's important to take advantaged over every opportunity you have. I learned to be thankful for what I have in my life and the blessings I have received.

Most memorable experience

My most memorable experience was during spring break when I went to Maui for vacation. During the trip I had an opportunity to swim through a lava tube which is something that I had only seen in the movies. Program quality

The quality of this program was for the most part really good. Overall, if it weren't for this program I would never had the most amazing experience of my life. If it weren't for this program I would have not been in Hawaii for the past four months. There were some glitches here and there, with course schedule, communication, etc. But overall the program quality was very well put together and I felt Dayton did a good job at preparing us and Chaminade did a well job at welcoming us.

The people I met during this program were definitely the best attribute to this trip. I can honestly say that I have made quite a few life long friends and I wouldn't change anything about the times we had together.
