The best part about studying abroad is the people you meet. You will make life long friends and that can happen anywhere you go. If Radboud has a lot of classes that are interesting to you and help you earn credit at UD, I would definitely encourage you to study abroad in Nijmegen. The Netherlands is a great country, especially for people with no other language skills. The people are nice, the program is mostly well done, and it is so easy to travel to other places from the Netherlands. I definitely miss it already!

Going to the Netherlands was the best decision I ever made. I learned so much about myself, others and different cultures that I never would have been able to experience otherwise. Of course, it is a challenge moving to a completely new country, knowing not many people and having to live within a different cultural context, but this experience made me much more independent and confident. I feel like I can do pretty much anything by myself now, which I never would have said before going abroad. I would absolutely recommend going abroad, to Nijmegen especially, but to anywhere, because of how many great experiences are available to you that would not be otherwise. Dutch people are extremely laid back and friendly and I made many friends while I was abroad. I will always remember the trips, experiences and friends I made during this experience. I will also always remember how much I grew over those four months. 10/10 would absolutely recommend!

This is an opportunity to experience culture that you will never find in a classroom. The ability to experience all of the beauty of the world, and the different cultural differences that make us who we are has infinite value. Personally, I believe that this unique look on independence and freedom is a factor that has the potential to positively impact the rest of my life. I was able to incorporate values from other cultures to help find myself, and begin to realize what brings me the most spiritual fulfillment.

I absolutely recommend an experience abroad. It was an eye-opening semester filled with lessons I could never receive in a classroom. Independence, new found passions, spectacular sights, and interesting friends are just a couple of things that I have gained through a mere 5 months. I find it difficult to describe the great feeling of stepping out of your comfort zone and trying to fully immerse yourself into a new culture/mindset which this trip allowed me to do. I fully recommend this program.
Quick tips: plan out your travels, talk to everyone you can, and take steps to further your understanding of different people. Exceptional experience

I absolutely loved studying in the Netherlands. The classes were challenging but I got to take a wide variety of classes which helped me look at things with a new perspective. I would definitely recommend the orientation program they offer!

Since my first week in the Netherlands I have been telling people who want to study abroad to apply for this exchange program. I truly wish I could go again. From the first minute I walked off the train in Nijmegen I was greeted my orientation leaders who were so excited to see you it was unbelievable. Orientation was one of the best experiences I could have possibly asked for; I truly think it would be impossible to end orientation week without meeting anyone. This exchange challenged me in every mental, emotional, and even physical way possible but all in the most amazing ways. I would recommend this program to every single person who is interested in studying abroad. I met people from every single continent on the planet and they are some of the most amazing human beings I have ever met. If you are lucky enough to get this program I promise you won't regret it.
